Fan-led Review Online Panel Meetings Update

By Bradford City Supporters Trust, Jun 25 2021 07:36AM

Online panel meetings for the Government Fan-led Review have now taken place across all the FSA PL, EFL and National Game (Non-League) Networks.

Supporters of the EFL League One & Two clubs gave evidence to the Government Fan-led Review Panel, chaired by Tracy Crouch MP on the 15th June.

In an FSA EFL League One & Two pre-meeting a couple of weeks earlier, fan reps of Trusts with the greatest concerns and with some of the biggest success stories shaped up the presentation of evidence to the Fan-Led Review panel.

These involved clubs such as, Leyton Orient, Accrington Stanley, Oldham Athletic, Hull City, Grimsby Town, Cheltenham Town, Northampton Town, Doncaster Rovers and Plymouth Argyle.

The issues came under the subject areas of:

Ownership

Protected Assets

Fan Elected Directors (FED) and Supporter Directors

Transparency & Financial Oversight

Fan Engagement

You can see a potted summary of the evidence provided by supporters highlighting the issues that have taken place at their Clubs here.

You can see a summary of evidence of issues highlighted that had taken place at Championship, Premier League and Non-League.

A leading delegation of FSA representatives gave evidence to the Fan-led Review panel on the 16th June to summarise their / our comprehensive proposals for the future of football, which look at all aspects of the running of the game.

You can see a full and comprehensive list of these proposals here.

An interim report will be made available in July 2021, with the final report published in October/November time 2021. The report will cover all clubs who compete in the English pyramid system.

Submitting evidence

When compared with other Clubs in League One and Two, the Trust felt that there were other Clubs that have had far more compelling situations and relationships with their Trusts in recent years than us. However, if you feel Bradford City deserves special significance to be looked at by the Advisory Panel in relation to fan-engagement, ownership or financial, you can submit your evidence to the DCMS, by sending it to this email address, [email protected]. There is no official deadline, but it is recommended your evidence be sent as early as possible.

Excellent.

Though I'm now experiencing some negativey, from some associated with our club (within the Community set-up).

Which I hope are resolved swiftly.

The director of this has effectively 'banned' me from joining them.
